Pastor Shimkus

Rev. William Shimkus has been serving as pastor at

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School since May 2003. 

Prior to this he has been pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church in Cottage Hills, Illinois; St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wenatchee, Washington; and Hope Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho. 

He served as a chaplain in the U. S. Army Reserve for 23 years,
assigned as a hospital chaplain to Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam
Houston, in San Antonio Texas.  He has served as a circuit counselor and a regional vice president in the Northwest District. 

His wife is Bette Shimkus and they have three children – Matthew, who in 2006 received his Master in theater from Roosevelt University in Chicago; Maria, who in 2006 graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri; and Emily, who attends a high school in Honolulu.
